Wife and mother of two. One little girl and one baby boy. I try and fit in time to mess around with yarn or fabric. I knit and or crochet all fall and winter and sew all spring and summer. I recently obtained (husbands mom gave me her unused things) supplies for embroidery. I've done a little embroidery before and liked it but didn't have the patience to finish a whole project because I was using silk sewing thread instead of embroidery thread and it was tedious. I also bake (I make up my own recipes of course) and try cooking foreign cuisine (and I'm modestly good at it). I hate following recipes and usually end up altering everything I cook. It drives my husband crazy. I use to read all the time but I just don't find the time anymore. I usually garden in the spring and summer but I had a new baby this year. I did find time to sew however. I recently discovered how much fun it is to refashion clothes. Before I'd only got to sew Halloween consumes because we couldn't afford the fabric but now I'm going to my favorite thrift store (one that gives food and shelter to local homeless people) and picking out cheep, sometimes very ugly, things (with potential) and making them beautiful again.
